Apotheosis

Marquis Natan Kaan has spent the past five years believing his wife and infant son lost in a pirate attack on their starliner. However, he and rsquo;s recently received word that due to quick action on his mother and rsquo;s part, the boy may yet live. The problem is, his safe haven is a forbidden world under the thumb of strict religious authorities. The heroes are hired to pierce the interdiction and rescue the child, but they soon find that not everything about the planet is as it seems. Around every corner, there is danger, deception, and a deep mystery. Was young Kalan Kaan and mdash; now a messianic figure and mdash; the world and rsquo;s only extraplanetary visitor? Will the PCs live long enough to find out?

Apotheosis is a short, no-frills adventure for Cepheus Engine and other tabletop RPG science fiction games using a 2D6 mechanic (including The Original 2D6 Science Fiction Game) starring characters of varied career backgrounds.
