That mortal is called the Witchfire, by the name of the dangerous and unstable energy he is using. Reality is more complex than that and stories often arise of more than one witchfire wielder in the same generation, but as of now no one can tell if those stories are true or just fiction.
Some have used the witchfire for good, others have used it to their nefarious ends but none has failed at being exceptional.
This product is meant to be used with the any adventure path for Pathfinder, it introduces the witchfire, raw magical energy that can be used by characters from any class.
