You want to introduce vampires into a sci-fi setting (or want to bring your vampire-game into a sci-fi world) but you aren and acute;t sure about how to translate the classic curses of vampiredom into the future?

The romantic notions of Bram Stoker and acute;s Dracula have been put aside and were replaced with (or re-envisioned into) elements that will help to depict a vampire as a creature from beyond the stars, a demon spawn of the outer dark or as just something alien yet esoteric. These drawbacks focus on technological elements common in most sci-fi RPG, onto space and space travel and on concepts like darkness, hunger, emptiness and fear.

If PC are vampires, the GM may use them to make their (un)lifes difficult. If the PC are hunting/fighting vampires, these Aspects are something to uncover and to put to use.

If the PC are vampires, the GM may offer bonus points (Skills, Stunts or Fate Points) for those PC that take certain flaws, or pick a set and rule that all vampires suffer said flaws. If the PC are fighting/hunting vampires, to know and to make use of this flaws may very well make the difference between victory and death to the PC.
