Maybe you are running a mass battle and you just want to speed things up. Maybe you are not in a position to take out your dice and you need to make a few rolls.
For whatever reason these tables give you the ability to produce random rolls on demand without dice.
Fudge dice are normally rolled in sets of 3 dice (Fudge) or 4 dice (FATE). Each dice shows either a -, a + or blank. You then add all the results to get a result between -3 to +3 or -4 to +4. In this book the dice rolls are grouped into sets of 4 dice. In the Fudge book they are grouped into threes. To use these tables read across the number of dice you want to use and sum the results. Blanks are show as zeros in the table as this is easier to see rather than blanks.
